With offices located just north of the landmark Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, North Carolina, the woman-owned law firm is small but experienced, and focuses its client services on community development, affordable housing, historic rehabilitation, tax credit transactions, municipal bonds and bond financing, commercial lending and banking and commercial real estate development, and a broad variety of legal services for start-up and established businesses and nonprofit organizations, including corporate formation, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, corporate finance and securities, employment law and intellectual property, and business litigation.

Ellinger & Carr’s lawyers have expertise in subsidized housing, community development, home loan regulation, Federal Home Loan Bank financing, municipal bond financing and other state and federal financing sources of affordable housing, community development and historic rehabilitation. One of the lawyers has substantial experience in energy regulation and other regulatory law, and more than 25 years of practice in business and corporate law and commercial transactions, including new business development, start-ups, employment law, intellectual property matters and business disputes and litigation. Ellinger & Carr brings a depth and breadth of experience in a variety of practice areas to cost-effectively serve the legal needs of individuals, businesses and communities here in the Carolinas and across the Southeast.
